Office of Layered Gardens is envisioned as a new kind of workplace in Zhongshan, where architecture and landscape are seamlessly woven together across the vertical city.
The office complex is formed through a composition of shifted and stacked floor plates, creating generous sky gardens, terraces, and outdoor spaces at every level. Rather than concentrating landscape at the ground plane, the project elevates nature throughout the building, giving each workplace access to light, greenery, fresh air, and outdoor gathering spaces.
The architectural expression draws inspiration from the Eastern artistic tradition of layered mountains, where overlapping peaks, terraces, and distant horizons create a sense of depth and continuous discovery. This idea is translated into a contemporary architectural language through a composition of stacked volumes that evoke rocks carefully balanced within a landscape.
Stacked Forms. Open Horizons. Living Landscape
The Yibin Lakeside Residences is envisioned as a large-scale residential community shaped by its relationship with the water. A collection of residential towers is carefully arranged around an expansive landscape, creating a sequence of views, gardens, and shared spaces throughout the development.
Generous private balconies extend the living experience outdoors, offering residents framed views across the lake while bringing natural light, air, and landscape closer to everyday life. The architecture maintains a refined and contemporary character, with carefully proportioned façades that balance privacy with openness.
